I stopped by to visit with Hannah, Megan and Todd yesterday as they put the finishing touches on their new showroom, Atomic Furnishing & Design. Their mid-century furnishings shop will open this Saturday, Aug 16th. The doors open at noon, but the festivities are between 5 and 8pm. Kelly, Chett and myself {the other Mod Squad} will no doubt be crashing it. Todd and Megan combined forces having both been individual pickers of mid-century modern. Megan is an interior designer and Todd a carpenter and furniture restorer. Hannah, a Doula, brought her caring sense, natural style and handiwork skills in refinishing and upholstery. The trio combined and originally opened a booth in Screen Door, but success led them seeking wider spaces. They are now in Woodfin at 115 Elk Mountain. Stop by this Saturday for their debut and chat them up about their Paul McCobb chairs or their interior design business. See you there! Troy
