If you are not keen to Fuzz; well, lets get that sorted.
Fuzz is a psyched out rock n’ roll(er) coaster, with whoops and curves, flips and weirdo distortions. All the right things in modern psych with accurate nods to a bygone era of what many consider true rock. It might be one of the most perfectly descriptive names for a band’s actual music. It’s pretty fuzzy. It rules.
Fuzz has abandonment issues. Abandoning expectation. Abandoning reservation, consummation, resignation, and trite dictation. Instinct is all there is when it comes to the divination of harsh salvation. Ty Segall (drums, vocals), Charles Moothart (guitar, vocals), and Chad Ubovich (bass, vocals) are exploring all the blank-ations of what will be, or has always been. Tried and true methods mixed with tongue twisting, teeth shattering, seizure-inducing stabs at the norm. Bathe in the heat wave that is Fuzz, and regret nothing in the time freeze. Necessity is the mother of creation; and devolution stakes its claim in the past as it continues to bind itself to the future.
FUZZ plays this Thursday (11/12) at the Grey Eagle / Doors at 7pm / Show at 8pm / All ages / Tickets Please!

But WAIT! There is more to this evening. Asheville’s adopted Israeli surf-rock, demigod Charlie Megira is playing a farewell show at The Lazy Diamond after the Fuzz show. Charlie Megira & The Bet she'an valley hillbillies just finished up playing The Growlers legendary Beach Goth festival last month. This is their last show in Asheville for who knows how long.
Charlie and Dead Girl are off to Europe to break hearts and make peace with rock n’ roll.
This sweet vid below was shot at Static Age Records, Asheville, NC.
We have many things that we may regret in life, don’t let this night be one of them.
