#AVLGLITCH, new group photography show, released their open call for submissions for an upcoming juried exhibition. Submissions will be accepted until 9/9, and the show runs through October.

Philadelphia-based ceramic artist Roberto Lugo, who is shifting conversations around pottery and identity, will speak on "Ghetto Craft: A Place Where Poverty and Porcelain Intersect," at the CCCD on Thursday, May 12th @ 6:30 pm. The talk is free and open to the public.

474 Gallery on Haywood Road in West Asheville is having its first group show throughout May with an opening reception on Friday, May 8th featuring local artists ranging in mediums from pop realism, to abstraction, to fabric arts.
